What a fabulous setting. I love your homely touches and you have great taste. The 'brie' was heavenly and so was your home made bread.
My favourite place was definately the walk down to the duck pond watching all the rabbits in the field, and we even saw a stoat. This is paradise- we will return. Saw a seal at Newquay Harbour!

Away with Kids
When you pull up at Mayrose you can't fail to begin to unwind. Everything is SO tastefully done - at least in my opinion - it's quirky and interesting and the cottages are extremely comfortable - which is just perfect! And there's the most fabulous rhododendron to greet you that is exquisite - ask David the name!
The restored stone, 4 star cottages overlook 17 acres of fields and have stunning views to savour across the Allen Valley. All have whitewashed walls and beams and are light and airy with extremely stylish interiors. All are come fully equipped for all ages, that's from babies to grown ups, and provide for the perfect retreat all year round being refreshingly cool in summer and warmly heated in winter.
Each cottage has full central heating, microwave ovens, fridges, freezers, electric cookers and dishwashers and have TVs, DVDs and CD/radios for entertainment indoors. Most have wood-burning stoves. High quality linen and towels are provided.
Cots and high chairs are available on request as are bottle sterilisers, and liquidisers so you can take them back out of the car. Nappy buckets considerately are provided too! All cottages have there own garden area for the children to play in. This area also has garden furniture and a barbeque to enjoy the outdoors.
Hot news is that the Good Food Company has now moved on site which can only be a bonus for those of you who just can't be bothered even bbqing! A small shop stocks local ice cream and garden vegetables when in season, spring water comes from the farm's own well.
All of the cottages share a fabulous space. There are animals to visit - the children - can join David or Jane collecting eggs and feeding the farm pets - adults can go along too. There's a lovely pond area to splash about at or relax with the ducks and perhaps a bottle of wine - I shan't say, "Parents beware" as I assume you all know of the dangers of water!
If you prefer to swim there's a lovely sheltered heated pool to enjoy that is gated for the safety of exploring toddlers. The pool is open from mid May onwards. A glass-roofed patio completes the charm to lounge under should the weather close in. And if the rain decides to stay a games room conveniently holds books, DVDs and games (for children as well as adults) and is furnished with a comfy sofa to relax in. Outdoor games are also provided, as is a pool table for competitive parents!
Mayrose is close to the A39 and so has easy access to the wonderful beaches, gardens and attractions of Cornwall. The Eden project is only 30 minutes away as is Padstow; the wild areas of Bodmin Moor are just 10. And should you want to simply stay ‘at home' and enjoy your surroundings you can access a network of quiet country lanes from the bottom of the fields or else take a stroll around the farms footpath.

I'd just to like to say a huge thank you for putting us up in The Old
Piggery last weekend. Both my wife and I needed a relaxing break away
from the "stress" of real life, and the Helstone and Mayrose Farm
setting was perfect to get away from it all.
We're unlikely to make it down to your neck of the woods over the
summer - but having seen your deal for the winter weekend special on returning
home, we're hoping a similar offer will be running later in the year
so we can look forward to spending another beautiful holiday at
Mayrose Farm.
Once again, thank you very much for the experience, we will definitely
be repeating it at some point in the hopefully not too distant future.
You've been recommended to friends and family :-)

Special offer weekend
Thank-you for our lovely stay. I think the idea of a special week-end works very well, we really enjoyed the fish pie, the hamper and we had a lovely evening at the Slipway at Port Isaac.
Cornwall looks as lovely as it always does, it is surprising that tourism and commercialism hasn't done more harm to it. We were particularly impressed with Port Isaac, Polperro and Boscastle. I am writing this now stuck in an office in Croydon, you wouldn't believe the contrast.
However, the highlight was feeding Harriet - twice! Helen was so envious when I told her that I had fed her that second time.
So thank-you for your hospitality, it would be nice to think that we could re-visit soon

I just wanted to write and tell you how much we enjoyed our break in October. The kids had a fantastic time and my sister has now fallen in love with your farm and North Cornwall. We will be back.
What you have done with the farm in the couple of years since we last visited is fantastic, and I look forward to recommending you to family and friends.
